CIMB-Principal Asset Management (CIMB-Principal) – investment adviser for Cornhill’s WIOF South-East Asia Performance Fund - has been named Asset Management Company of the Year, Malaysia, by The Asset financial magazine.

Picking up the award at the Asset Triple A Investor and Fund Management Awards 2014, Munirah Khairuddin, chief executive officer of CIMB-Principal said: “This award affirms our strategy to consolidate our position as one of the leading asset management houses in Malaysia and growing in ASEAN.”

The company was also recently named ‘Best Asset Manager in Southeast Asia’ at the 8th Annual Alpha Southeast Asia Best Financial Institution Awards – taking the award for the fifth year in a row.

CIMB-Principal currently manages 57 funds in Malaysia with a total of RM46.58bn in assets under management as at June 30 2014.
