CIMB-Principal Asset Management (CIMB-Principal) emerged as one of the biggest winners at a prestigious fund awards ceremony last week.

The asset managers - investment advisers to Cornhill’s WIOF South-East Asia Performance Fund and investment managers for Cornhill’s WSF Asian Pacific Shariah Growth Fund - came top in eight categories at the 2014 Edge-Lipper Malaysia Fund Awards last week.

CIMB-Principal was named best fund in, among others, the Equity Asia Pacific Ex Japan and Equity Global categories.

The wins come just months after the asset managers took Asian Investor magazine’s Investment Performance Award 2013 for Asian Fund House of the Year.
