Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) has been named as the best bank in Central and Eastern Europe for the third time this year.

RBI took the “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” award from British finance magazine Euromoney this month – the sixth time the magazine has named it as the best bank in the region.

The magazine also named RBI subsidiaries in Albania, Belarus and Ukraine as the “Best Bank” in their respective countries.

It is the seventh time Raiffeisen Bank Sh.a. in Albania has won the award, while Priorbank JSC, RBI's subsidiary in Belarus, and the Ukrainian Raiffeisen Bank Aval JSC have now been named best banks of their countries on five occasions each.

“These awards are a confirmation of our work and reflect the entrenchment of RBI in CEE, which we think will remain the most important European growth region.

“The awards are an incentive to continue our on-going efforts to offer our private and corporate customers the tailor-made financial services they require,” said Herbert Stepic, Chairman of the Managing Board of RBI.

Euromoney is the third international magazine to name RBI “Best Bank in CEE” this year following similar awards from Global Finance in April and EMEA Finance at the beginning of this month.
